Cassandra Rhodin

This classy watercolor look from Cassandra Rhodin is amazing! I saw an illustration by her in a magazine when I went to Thailand in may last year - and I felt in love! Totally. But I didn´t know the name of the artist. Until now. Ther´s an interview with her in the latest Cap&Design.

Gunvor Rasmussen

This is a book with bed time stories, illustrated by Gunvor Rasmussen from Bergen. It´s adorable! It always makes me happy to spot new local talents. Check out her website for more adorable lines.

Svein Nyhus

I was at the library today. I have to do that more often! It´s filled with inspiration!

This is from the book Mrs Plum's Secret by Gro Dahle, illustrated by Svein Nyhus - who is one of my favourites. I´ve actually sent him a fan letter as well. Ha ha.

This is what Nyhus publishing house says about his style:
"Inspired by the cartoon tradition and pop culture, Nyhus makes use of a sophisticated comic strip style. His pictures are detailed, stylistically assured, controlled and detailed with clearly delineated forms. His illustrations are muted in tone, executed in a mixture of pencil/coloured pencil and crayon. The narrative background to the story is achieved using a kind of simplified functionalistic expression with elements of art deco, realised with great stylistic aplomb." Read more here: Gyldendal

Moomin

I just had to buy this cute pillow from the Moomin shop at Helsinki airport. Let me introduce: Snufkin! He is a philosophic vagabond and has many admirers, especially among those who are small and shy.

Visit Moominvalley here.

Dr. Jason Freeny* has spent tireless hours in the lab cataloging even the most intricate gummi systems for your anatomical enjoyment.

BO130

Bo130 simply don´t bite! But the way he show off his work does. Love this! You have to scroll up and down, right and left. Enjoy!

Håkon Hagesæther

Lets look at some more nice stuff from Egmont Serieforlaget, the publishing house I work at. These comics are made by Håkon Hagesæther. Adorable! You wont belive it, but he is only 17! You´ll find more from him in every issue of Tommy og Tigeren.
