Pixar at Visuelt 08
And of course! Adam Burke from Pixar was there as well! He spoke about the making of Ratatouille - all the sketches, the details, the amount of people involved and at last - the terrible deadline. Like he said: "You´re always fucked".
Take a look at the trailer for the newest Pixar film, Wall-e, here. I am really looking forward to see the whole film!
Visuelt 08
I was at Visuelt 08 yesterday, it´s a seminar with a lot of inspiration for everyone in the visual business. One of the speakers was Kjell Ekhorn from Non-Format (based in London, UK and Minneapolis, USA) He had a funny way of showing their work in a diagram where you could see if the work was done for money or with creativ freedom. Check out their site for some crazy typography!

Catalina Estrada at Gela Skins
Skins with prints from Catalina Estrada are now available at GelaSkins. "Little Red" is adorable.
From GelaSkins newsletter #38: "To say that Catalina Estrada's art is extremely vibrant would be an understatement. While her content varies from oriental themes and patterns to interpretations of woodland scenes and fairy tales, one thing is constant in her work: explosive use of colour."

Nick Deakin
Nick Deakin is an freelance illustrator currently working in the UK. I like the naive and worn look of his work.

Julie Verhoeven
Julie Verhoeven has worked in numerous ways across fashion and design, and she is an amazing fashion Illustrator. Check out her work for Mulberry - and you´ll have to re-think the term “Classic British.”
